McKellar Park as a community is named after the large park in the heart of the area, serving as a central hub of sorts. TMcKellar Park itself is predominantly residential, so there aren’t many shops in the immediate area. Of couse, given the smaller size of the neighbourhood, this isn’t an issue, as there is plenty to enjoy just a short walk away! The Keg Steakhouse and Bar’s iconic Ottawa Manor location can be found on Richmond Road, as can MEC, Lululemon, Tallow, and the incredible variety of shops and eateries of Westboro to the northeast. Directly southwest of McKellar Park, you’ll find the sprawling (and expanding) Carlingwood Shopping Centre, not to mention a wide array of outlet retail, pharmacy, and dining spots across from Carling Avenue.
